What is Judo?
Also known as the "Yielding Way", Judo is a gentle yet effective combat sport. While Judo can be seen at it's highest level in the Summer Olympic games, many techniques are commonly used in self defense training. Players or "Judokas" do not use strikes to defeat their opponents (no punching or kicking). Instead, Judokas learn to use technique and leverage to take down opponents and pin or submit them using minimal force. This sport is a great activity for smaller athletes to help develop a sense of self-confidence.
